Instead of Trump paying the price for grievous crimes, he got *rewarded* for them! Pat him on the back - great job bucking the law, Trump! Great job the GOP did when they collectively shouted, 'he won he won' as they looked down at their shoes, knowing in their darkest recesses of their souls, that they were unmitigated LIARS, allowing the dangerous Liar to continue his malice.

Now the pain is inflicted on all the good souls of America - we obey the law because that is what honorable people do!

A pox on the Trump administration, when I see or hear his face or voice, I turn it off. Watching raindrops fall from the skies has more eloquence and goodness than Donald Trump and his hateful fans do.

Great job Brooklyn Dad!

Thank you Rosanne! I appreciate you saying that he was "rewarded" because at some point in my article, that was EXACTLY what I wanted to say, but I forgot, dammit.

Also, you said "a pox on the trump Administration," which is just awesome!

Despite our laws, a foreign born immigrant, said to have violated his visa from day 1 of his arrival, was allowed to buy this election with 260 million dollars. I understand that, as an individual, I am only allowed to contribute $5000 to a campaign. Not that I have 250 million, let alone a million. None-the-less, Musk used his 260 million to lie to people, unchecked. That had to have some effect.

I agree with everything you said. The liar-in-chief got away with his coup and was rewarded. We the people lost.

Very well said, Suzie. Thank you!

Garland could have done more to stop Trump and his MAGAt republicans but he has no backbone either!!! Trump should never have been allowed to even run for president again!!! He should have been in prison with all the other J6 insurrectionists!!!!

It's all disgusting and very few with power and authority are doing the right thing or listening to our cries for justice. And the media makes everything worse with the way they twist words and frame their stories. They still say things like "hush money" instead of falsifying business records or election interference. When the search warrant was executed for Mar-a-Lago, they called it a raid. Where is the accountability? Where are the truth tellers anymore? That's what drove me here to follow people on substack. Thank you BROOKLYNDAD_DEFIANT! for putting our thoughts into words for us!

Sadly true that with enough money you can get away with anything. And it wasn't even his money that paid the lawyers.

Obviously Garland failed to do his job and managed to turn the next four years into what will be a disaster

I've been saying it for nearly 3 years now, Merrick Garland is complicit in all of this. As soon as it became obvious he was dragging his feet, I started pointing out that Garland was playing along. This eventually got me blocked by a number of prominent voices on Twi-X-er, but it's almost comical to see them all on other platforms, now, finally realizing that I wasn't wrong.

I definitely wouldn't have blocked you on that, because I totally felt like Garland was dragging his feet, and it was giving me fits. I ALWAYS thought Garland was a poor choice, and that the position would have been better served by appointing someone like Sally Yates, or just someone with a pulse, for crying out loud.

I think Biden was attempting to project a non-threatening, non-partisan image with his pick, and it didn't work, because they just accused him of politicizing the Department of Justice anyway. Dammit.

Thank you. Your article is a Great summary of exactly how a perpetrator of so many serious crimes is headed to the White House. As impossible as it seems that a narcissist with a horrible history, ridiculous speeches and only a self-centered agenda is going to be President, you explained it clearly. I was mistaken assuming Garland was smart and strong for justice. But maybe he was smart enough to get just what he wanted?

I truly had faith in Garland, too, and I am so disappointed that he failed our Country. Shame on him! In my mind, he's as deserving of jail as those who violated our Capitol Building.

As time went by I started thinking Garland was on Trumps payroll. I still think that.

Kinda hard to dismiss that idea outright, except I don't see an unethical guy when I look at Garland; I see a timid traditionalist who would rather cut off his left foot than do anything even slightly outside the norm. And convicting a President? WAY outside the norm.

Biden selected a golden retriever when he should've selected a pit bull.
