I'm in Los Angeles, and I've never been so glad to live in the suburbs. There will never be tanks rolling down my street; however, that doesn't mean I intend to ignore this. I'll be in downtown LA this weekend protesting. Scary AF.
My home is in a senior affordable housing building, and a large majority of residents are blue voters, but we have a few cult members. We generally don’t discuss politics unless those few are somewhere else, but then we talk about keeping our sanity in an inside out, upside down world. I believe those around me are trustworthy, and we would stand together against fascism. Most of us know more about it than younger communities.
